Ruler

Unique0.05% Chance

Effect

+200% Damage, +30% Range, -20% SPA. Placement locked to 1.

Still the default endgame hypercarry trait in the July 2026 UTDZ watch. Chase it when a unit is already good enough to become the one true centerpiece of your run.

bossinfinite

Astral

Divine0.5% Chance

Effect

+15% Enemy Damage Taken, Enhanced DoT, -SPA

A flexible special-mode trait when you want broader pressure handling or status-friendly value instead of committing every reroll to a pure boss carry.

virtual realmstory

Wizard

Divine0.5% Chance

Effect

+30% DoT Damage, -15% Cooldown, +20% Range, +Placement

More of a coverage and comfort trait than a default meta chase. It is most interesting when broader map control matters more than peak single-target ceiling.

Best Units

Artificer

Mythic0.65% Chance

Effect

+15% Relic Synergy, Focus on Range & Cooldown

The cleanest current support trait in our July UTDZ framing. Use it when the unit's entire job is to raise the value of a premium carry rather than to top damage charts itself.

Best Units

Duelist

Divine0.8% Chance

Effect

+25% Crit Rate, +35% Boss Damage, +20% Range

A real option for burst-oriented carries, especially before you commit to the rarer endgame chase. It is usually a backup plan rather than the final answer on the very best premium units.

bossstory

Eternal

Legendary2% Chance

Effect

Infinite stat scaling per wave

Still one of the best long-run trait targets because it preserves value after early wave pacing stops mattering.

infinite

Fortune

Epic5% Chance

Effect

Economy Boost - Increased gold generation

Mostly a utility or comfort trait in the current UTDZ watch. Useful when your own farming slot matters more than squeezing every drop of endgame damage from a carry.

story

Lethal

Epic5% Chance

Effect

+15% Crit Rate, +30% Damage to enemies below 50% HP

A lower-cost damage trait that can smooth routine progression, but it is rarely the final reroll target once a unit becomes a serious long-term investment.

Best Units

Lightspeed

Epic1.5% Chance

Effect

-20% Cooldown/SPA

Reliable speed trait for flexible carries or control pieces when you want more activations without forcing a top-end rarity chase.

infinitestoryvirtual realm

Deadeye

Epic2.5% Chance

Effect

+20% Range

A clean range trait for progression and special-mode routing, especially when coverage matters more than absolute ceiling.

Best Units

Enhanced

Common26.7% Chance

Effect

+Damage (scaling with level)

Basic damage boost. Fine for short-term progression, but not a trait to lock for a premium July 2026 roster core.

Agile

Common25% Chance

Effect

-Cooldown/SPA

Basic attack-speed help. Keep rolling once you know the unit deserves a real long-term trait investment.

Precise

Common24.5% Chance

Effect

+Range

Basic range boost. Good enough for temporary comfort, but upgrade toward Deadeye, Lightspeed, or higher-end options when the unit is worth it.

Prodigy

Rare9.99% Chance

Effect

+50% Unit Experience

Utility-only trait. It is not a combat target for current UTDZ reroll planning.

Brawler

Rare5% Chance

Effect

Reduced deployment cost

A convenience trait for smoother early deployment patterns, not a primary endgame target.

How to Use This Traits Page

  • Start with the unit or mode you actually care about, not just the rarest trait on the list.
  • Use probabilities to judge whether a reroll chase is realistic for your current gem and token budget, not as a promise that the live drop table is unchanged.
  • Move from traits into unit and team decisions before you lock in a reroll target.

What do Traits do in UTDZ right now?

Traits are still one of the biggest power multipliers in Universal Tower Defense Z. The live version rewards smarter reroll targeting, because the best result is not always the rarest trait overall. It is usually the trait that matches a unit you already plan to keep in your team core.

Rerolling: Use Reroll Tokens or Gems at the Summon area, but decide the target after checking the tier list or builder first. A premium trait on a weak roster fit is usually worse than a merely good trait on a unit you field every run.

Current reroll decisions

  • 1For premium carries such as Prime Hero, Morning Star, or other current-endgame slots, only chase Ruler or another premium trait if the unit is already part of your live-version core.
  • 2For Support units, Artificer stays one of the cleanest value traits when the whole job is buffing your carry instead of topping the damage chart.
  • 3Check the Tier List and builder together before rolling so you chase traits for units that actually survive your final lineup.
